Terms of use
Last updated: 24 July 2026.
By using PatchBriefing you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
PatchBriefing aggregates security advisories and release information from public sources and publishes AI-written, source-attributed briefings on the website and by e-mail. Content is generated automatically and, while we design against it, may contain errors or omissions.
No warranty — not a substitute for the source
The information is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. PatchBriefing is an information service, not security advice and not a security guarantee. Always verify severity, affected versions and remediation against the linked original sources before acting.
Acceptable use
You may read, subscribe to and share our content. You may not abuse the infrastructure — for example by automated scraping that degrades the service, circumventing rate limits, or attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the systems. The private inventory-check API may only be used with valid credentials and within its documented limits.
Intellectual property and attribution
Our editorial text and design are ours. Vulnerability data shown on the site includes information from third-party sources under their own licences, including the National Vulnerability Database (this product uses data from the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD), the CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog (CC0), the GitHub Advisory Database (CC-BY 4.0), OSV.dev, Packagist, and Wordfence Intelligence Community Edition (Defiant Inc.). CVE records are © MITRE and used under the CVE Program Terms of Use. A full list is on our sources page.
Newsletter
The daily brief uses double opt-in: your subscription is confirmed by e-mail before any brief is sent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every mail or your preferences page.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PatchBriefing accepts no liability for any direct, indirect or consequential damage arising from acting or failing to act on published information, or from unavailability of the service.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the "last updated" date reflects the latest version. Questions: hello@patchbriefing.com.
